Fishing Regulations at the “Borowina” Fishery
The “Borowina” fishery is located on land owned by Uzdrowisko Busko-Zdrój S.A. The fishery is managed and operated, for statutory purposes including angling, by the Association “Klub Sympatyków Wędkarstwa Borowina”.
- Fishing at the “Borowina” fishery, in accordance with the current Statutes of the Association and this set of rules, is permitted for:
- Members of the Association (including a representative of a Supporting Member) who, at the time of fishing, have paid their current membership fee (except Honorary Members) and hold a valid, named fishing license for the current year issued by the Association. Fishing is only permitted when carrying this license and an identity document.
- Guests of “Uzdrowisko Busko-Zdrój” S.A. staying on a full-paid residential basis (accommodation, full board, treatments) at the company’s sanatoria or hospitals. Guests do not pay any additional fee for fishing at the “Borowina” fishery but are required to comply with these rules. Guests may fish from dawn to dusk and are strictly prohibited from taking any fish from the fishery. Before fishing, a guest must contact the President of the “Klub Sympatyków Wędkarstwa Borowina” Association by phone (number listed in these rules) to notify their intention to fish, and collect a copy of these fishing rules at the reception of their sanatorium or hospital. While fishing, a guest must carry: a signed copy of these fishing rules (signed in the space: “I hereby declare that I have read and accept the rules”), proof of identity, and a document confirming their current full-paid stay at “Uzdrowisko Busko-Zdrój” S.A., and present these on request to an authorized person. By fishing, the guest accepts these rules. For safety reasons, guests are advised to notify the facility each time before going to the “Borowina” fishery.
- Every fish caught must be immediately released back into the water. It is strictly forbidden to remove any fish from the “Borowina” fishery, except for:
- Brown bullhead catfish, which is considered a pest and must not be released back into the water.
- Fishing is permitted with a maximum of two rods. When spinning or fly fishing, only one rod may be used.
- Staff members may invite one guest (additional rules apply: notification, one rod only, staff member is responsible for their guest).
- Non-staff members and guests are not permitted to invite others.
- Mandatory equipment: landing net and unhooking mat (must be spread out during fishing).
- Fishing with live or dead fish as bait is prohibited.
- The use of boats or any floating equipment is not allowed.
- The Board may temporarily (up to 30 days) close the fishery. Longer closures are only possible for sanitary reasons.
- All anglers must keep their fishing spot clean, regardless of its previous condition.
- All fishing equipment must be disinfected by anglers themselves before use.
- Every Association member has the right to check other anglers, request to see their license and ID, and verify compliance with these rules.
- Violation of these rules may result in: immediate termination of fishing, temporary withdrawal of the license, initiation of disciplinary proceedings, or other actions as defined in the Association’s Statutes.
- The Association is not responsible for the safety of persons or property at the fishery. Presence at the fishery constitutes acceptance of this disclaimer.
- Anglers are required to:
- Strictly comply with these rules,
- Follow the instructions of the Board or authorized members, including submitting to checks and opening vehicles for inspection to confirm no fish have been taken.
- Cameras and photo traps are installed at the fishery.
- Any matters not regulated by these rules are decided by the Board of the Association by a simple majority vote.
- In all other cases, the “PZW” (Polish Angling Association) Rules for Amateur Fishing apply.
This set of rules has been approved by the “Klub Sympatyków Wędkarstwa Borowina” Association.
