Neurological Rehabilitation
Early rehabilitation is a crucial part of treatment that significantly increases the chances of improving functional ability and plays a key role in the therapy of many neurological conditions.
Primary Indications for Neurological Rehabilitation Include:
- state after brain tumor surgery
- multiple sclerosis
- post-stroke condition
- post-traumatic brain injury
- polyneuropathies
- Bell’s palsy
- cerebral palsy
- combined disabilities
- Brown-Séquard syndrome
- spinal muscular atrophy (SMA)
Admission Criteria for Early Inpatient Neurological Rehabilitation
Neurological rehabilitation is provided for disorders of brain function, spinal cord and nerve root function, peripheral nervous system disorders, and muscular dystrophies, as well as for chronic rehabilitation (provided the patient has previously completed rehabilitation program, including ones mentioned above, and requires continuation in an inpatient setting). Admission is based on a referral from a hospital ward or clinic:
- neurology
- neurosurgery
- general surgery
- orthopaedics and traumatology
- infectious diseases
- internal medicine (after neurological consultation)
Admission is possible directly after hospital discharge or within 30 days from the discharge date.
Required Documents:
- referral with code 4306
- hospital medical records
- records from previous neurological rehabilitation (for chronic rehabilitation)
- disability certificate (if applicable)

Patient admissions to the ward are scheduled based on the waiting list and qualification for rehabilitation.
