Cardiac Rehabilitation
Take care of your heart with the help of specialists. Regain your strength after cardiovascular diseases or cardiac surgery. Modern treatment methods, individually tailored therapy, and a peaceful environment are the key to health and recovery.
Inpatient cardiac rehabilitation is dedicated to patients:
- after cardiac surgery (e.g. coronary artery bypass grafting, artificial or biological heart valves, aortic aneurysms, and other cardiac operations)
- after myocardial infarction, coronary angioplasty procedures, or pacemaker implantation
- with heart failure or after other cardiology/cardiac surgery procedures (following qualification for rehabilitation)
A referral for cardiac rehabilitation may be issued by a doctor from:
- a cardiac surgery department
- a cardiology department
- an internal medicine department
- a cardiology outpatient clinic
- a rehabilitation outpatient clinic
Conditions for admission to inpatient cardiac rehabilitation:
- referral for hospitalization: cardiac rehabilitation (code 4308)
- hospital discharge summary/ hospital treatment information sheet
- patient’s contact phone number

Admissions are scheduled in advance based on a waiting list and following qualification for rehabilitation. Treatment must begin within 56 days from the date of hospital discharge.
