The unit monitors employee exposure using individual photometric dosimeters – over the past 12 months, the measured effective dose was: < 0.1 mSv
The X-ray laboratory staff has been classified as category “B” in terms of exposure to ionizing radiation.
Regulation of the Council of Ministers on indicators allowing for the determination of ionizing radiation doses applied in the assessment of exposure to ionizing radiation, Journal of Laws 2021, item 1657 – the permissible exposure value to ionizing radiation is:
- employees: 20 mSv/year;
- general public: 1 mSv/year.
Note:
- based on measured and calculated doses, it is stated that the activities in the past 12 months have not had a negative impact on human health or the environment.
